Wissahickon Restoration Volunteers

Saturday June 14
9:45 AM-12:00 PM
Tree Rescue at Kitchens Lane, Mt. Airy

Join WRV crew leader Rich and Phila Cares volunteers to help maintain one of our past project sites. Many volunteers helped plant dozens of native trees in 2003 and now we need to make sure the trees thrive despite the vines in the surrounding area. Once mature, these trees will help fill a large canopy gap and improve the wildlife habitat in the Kitchen's Lane area. Meet in the parking lot at the bottom of Kitchen's Lane. Find Kitchen's Lane near the intersection of Wissahickon Avenue and Westview Avenue. Dress appropriately to be outdoors for 2 hours. Bring water. WRV supplies the tools and gloves.

Call WRV crew leader Rich for more information: cell (267) 784-4421
