Sustainable Trails Initiative
Join WRV and Friends of the Wissahickon throughout the fall to work on our Sustainable Trails project at the Orange Trail below Bell's Mill Road. We will be restoring the site between Bell's Mill Road and the Red Covered Bridge. Please click here for work dates and more information.
Volunteers needed!
In recognition of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, join WRV crew leader Ron and Phila Cares volunteers as they remove invasive bamboo from the Wissahickon forest. In the future, we plan on replacing this degraded area with native forest vegetation.
Meet at the parking lot (west of Forbidden Drive) along Bell's Mill Road. Wear sturdy shoes and dress appropriately to be outdoors for two hours. WRV supplies tools and gloves.? Volunteers supply their own water.
